Nature walk in the Big City

We were able to visit Granny and Granddad in Toronto, and Granddad took us on an adventure hike! Within walking distance of their house is access to the ravine network, and it is amazing how much nature you can take in, in the big city!

Part of the hike took place off the paved paths, along an abandoned railway enbankment. It is now a hydo corridor, and you have a view of apartment buildings in the distance.

Granddad pointed out some wild flowers that were starting to grow, here he shows a clump of trout lily to the group.
Pip needed some help on parts of the walk!

Emmi was able to find and identify trout lily a little later on her own, Tim is peeking out from behind the tree!
